Myxer partners with The Orchard on ringtones

Ad-supported mobile content provider Myxer announced a new distribution partnership with digital music and entertainment distributor The Orchard that will add more than a million new ringtones to its library. Myxer will employ its patent-pending ringtone creation technology to convert tracks from The Orchard's catalog of 1.1 million MP3s, spanning indie labels including Definitive Jux and Nuclear Blast--Myxer will also make available select ad-supported ringtones promoting featured Orchard artists as part of its website's "Picks of the Day" promotion, which the firm said currently generates between 5,000 and 15,000 downloads each day.
