Namco premieres 'Final Fantasy' on mobile
Mobile game publisher Namco Networks announced the landmark role-playing game Final Fantasy is now available across mass-market phones spanning all major U.S. carriers. Developed via licensing agreement with game developer Square Enix , Final Fantasy enables gamers to assume the role of one of six Warriors of Light, each with their own distinct skills and abilities; as players travel the world in their quest to restore light to four elemental crystals, they can discover new magical spells and purchase additional weapons. First released in Japan in 1987, Final Fantasy has gone on to generate 12 sequels, selling more than 85 million units worldwide.
