Networks In Motion inks location deal with Ericsson
Wireless navigation and local search solutions provider Networks In Motion announced a partnership with vendor giant Ericsson to offer NIM's location-based services to Ericsson customers worldwide. Per terms of the deal, Ericsson will enable its mobile operator clients to introduce their own branded versions of NIM's GPS-based phone navigation services, including voice-prompted turn-by-turn directions and 3-D "perspective view" maps in addition to regularly-updated local search information spanning millions of points of interest. NIM will also introduce additional services like real-time traffic updates, local event information, movie showtimes, weather forecasts and gas prices.
