New blood for Pulse: $7M Series B financing
User-generated mobile messaging and entertainment services provider Pulse Entertainment announced the completion of a $7 million Series B funding round led by investors including Anthem Venture Partners, Draper Fisher Jurvetson, Shea Ventures and Japan's Hikari Tsushin Group. According to Pulse, it will dedicate the financing to expanding the core functionality of its patented Veepers Content Engine, a media creation platform enabling the automatic creation of user-generated content, including 3D animation as well as video and image compositing technologies tailored for automated mobile messaging and entertainment services.
"Pulse has incredibly engaging solutions that enable viral mobile messaging," said Draper Fisher Jurvetson managing partner Tim Draper in a prepared statement. "Not only are these solutions appropriate for mobile subscribers, but they also show tremendous promise for web-based community services where personalization needs abound."
