ngmoco scores $10 million in Series B

Tools

iPhone game publisher ngmoco announced the completion of a Series B financing round totaling $10 million and led by Norwest Venture Partners. Former Electronic Arts exec Neil Young founded ngmoco in July 2008, and a month later the firm announced a $5 million Series A round led by Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, with participation from Maples Investments. (Both also contributed to the newest venture round.) According to VentureBeat, ngmoco will target the new cash to expand its roster of premium iPhone and iPod touch games, add or acquire some development talent and properties, and invest in its game networking platform. ngmoco adds it will introduce a dozen new iPhone games in 2009, including Star Defense, Touch Pets and LiveFire.
