Nickelodeon, Comedy Central join ICO channel roster

Satellite communications firm ICO Global Communications continues to sign content partners in advance of alpha trials of its ICO mim mobile interactive media service: A week after partnering with Turner Broadcasting System to include content from the broadcaster's Cartoon Network and Adult Swim efforts, ICO has reached a similar agreement with cable's MTV Networks to add Nickelodeon and Comedy Central to its channel lineup. ICO mim--a mobile video, navigation and emergency assistance service launched in April--will initiate trials in the Raleigh-Durham and Las Vegas markets later this summer. Additional content partners include NBC Universal and Discovery Networks, with ICO promising a broad mix of news, entertainment, sports and family-friendly content.
