Nickelodeon, Hertz team for mobile media venture
Hertz Rent A Car announced a partnership with cable children's programming giant Nickelodeon to exclusively launch "Nick on the Go," a portable media player pre-loaded with more than 40 hours of Nickelodeon and Nick Jr. programming. The touch-screen device, which plugs into the rented vehicle's cigarette lighter, enables viewers to select episodes from dozens of Nick hits including SpongeBob Square Pants, Avatar: The Last Airbender and Blue's Clues. Nickelodeon will refresh the programming slate every quarter, with future content including video games and access to Nick websites. Devices are available in airport outlets at 21 of Hertz's top leisure destinations like Orlando, Miami, Los Angeles and Chicago for approximately $16.95 a day, with prices varying by location.
