Nickelodeon, kajeet partner for kiddie content
Tween-focused pay-as-you-go provider kajeet announced its first strategic content partnership, inking with cable network Nickelodeon to offer subscribers ringtones, wallpapers and games from hit Nick series including "SpongeBob SquarePants," "Rugrats" and "The Fairly OddParents." Per terms of the deal, kajeet will serve as the exclusive mobile content partner in on-air and online advertising for Nickelodeon television events beginning with the April 13 premiere of the primetime special "SpongeBob SquarePants: Friend or Foe?" kajeet and Nickelodeon will also launch exclusive mobile content related to the episode.
"Like Nickelodeon, kajeet is totally kid-centric and was created to bring together the world of communication, information and entertainment that today's technologically- agile kids want in the palms of their hands," said kajeet founder and CEO Daniel Neal in a prepared statement. "We see the partnership with Nickelodeon as a spot-on opportunity to introduce and share our commitment to kids, tweens and families."
