Nokia to acquire social network Dopplr?
Nokia is reportedly acquiring travel-themed social networking Dopplr, the latest in a series of purchases including microsocial networking startup Plum and mobile software firm Cellity. TechCrunch reports Nokia will fork over between $15 million and $22 million for Dopplr, which enables users to share personal and business travel plans to spot correlations with their contacts' itineraries and arrange meetings on their respective journeys. Dopplr co-founder and CEO Marko Ahtisaari previously served as Nokia's director of design strategy.
