Nokia adds advertising to MOSH
Nokia announced it will integrate its fledgling MOSH multi-platform user-generated content service into the Nokia Media Network, promising advertisers an opportunity to reach consumers via original mobile content. According to the handset giant, the Nokia Media Network reaches more than 100 million consumers worldwide across a series of mobile publishers, operator partners and Nokia properties--in concert with the announcement, MOSH will debut a new paid-placement advertising program, dubbed Spotlight, that offers banner ad campaigns for both the mobile and traditional web. Nokia added that user-generated content community Vringo has already signed on for the Spotlight program, and in roughly one month enjoyed a 100 percent increase in downloads. Mobile social networking application provider Blue Lion Mobile experienced a similar boost when downloads of its qeep software jumped over 95 percent in one month as a Spotlight partner.
