Nokia debuts Metro Targeting mobile ad effort

Nokia announced the launch of Metro Targeting, a new mobile advertising initiative that enables brands to customize their campaigns for consumers in 10 major U.S. metropolitan markets. Introduced via the handset giant's Nokia Media Network, a premium mobile advertising platform spanning from publishers including Hearst and TV Guide to operator partners like Sprint, Metro Targeting enables advertisers to specialize their efforts to desired demographics in key areas corresponding to the same Designated Marketing Areas employed in traditional media planning--at launch, Nokia will pinpoint the Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Dallas-Fort Worth, Los Angeles, Minneapolis-St. Paul, New York City, San Francisco-Oakland-San Jose, Seattle-Tacoma and Washington, D.C. markets.
