Nokia Drop app sends content from desktop to phone

Nokia (NYSE:NOK) introduced Nokia Drop, an experimental application enabling consumers to transfer web links and photos from their desktop browser directly to their mobile phone without the benefit of Bluetooth or data cables. Launched via the Nokia Beta Labs effort, the Qt-based Drop app is designed for on-the-go consumers desiring remote access to their home PC; the solution leverages the Nokia Identifications API, which enables real-time push notifications across mobile devices. For now, Nokia Drop supports the Mozilla Firefox and Google (NASDAQ:GOOG) Chrome browsers.
