Nokia launches Mobile Documents push email solution

Nokia (NYSE:NOK) Beta Labs introduced Mobile Documents, a cloud-boosted push email solution enabling users to view and read large attachments instantly by leveraging streaming technology instead of download protocols, translating to reduced bandwidth consumption and roaming costs. Developed by messaging solutions provider Visiarc and optimized for smartphones running Symbian^3, the beta Mobile Documents release includes features like multi-touch, enabling users to pinch zoom for viewing images, PDFs and Office documents, as well as homescreen alert widgets that include optional sounds for news emails and/or documents. A version optimized for S60 devices is in the pipeline.
