Tools

Nokia announced an agreement with Lonely Planet to distribute the global travel information provider's content via the Nokia Maps 2.0 application. Per terms of the deal, the handset giant will offer Lonely Planet premium city guides, expert recommendations and itineraries spanning across 100 worldwide destinations, with more to follow. The guides offer recommendations on dining, shopping and lodging, as well as noting popular tourist sights and area nightlife. The Lonely Planet downloads are now available for $13.99 each--Nokia adds that Nokia Maps now covers 200 countries in all, with more than 70 of them navigable via vector maps provided by Navteq and TeleAtlas.
