Nokia announced its UK Nokia Music Store will open for business today. The handset giant promises millions of tracks from established hit makers, independent labels and up-and-coming artists alongside a series of interactive features including music browsing, personalized track recommendations and a favorite artists search. Individual tracks will sell for 80p ($1.66), with albums priced at £8.00 ($16.64). A monthly desktop streaming subscription also boasts an £8.00 price tag. All music can be purchased across a series of payment options, including credit cards and pre-paid vouchers. Listeners may access the Nokia Music Store via PC or directly from optimized devices including the Nokia N81 and Nokia N95 8GB, which also went on sale Thursday.
