Nokia Music Store launches in U.K.
Nokia announced its UK Nokia Music Store will open for business today. The handset giant promises millions of tracks from established hit makers, independent labels and up-and-coming artists alongside a series of interactive features including music browsing, personalized track recommendations and a favorite artists search. Individual tracks will sell for 80p ($1.66), with albums priced at £8.00 ($16.64). A monthly desktop streaming subscription also boasts an £8.00 price tag. All music can be purchased across a series of payment options, including credit cards and pre-paid vouchers. Listeners may access the Nokia Music Store via PC or directly from optimized devices including the Nokia N81 and Nokia N95 8GB, which also went on sale Thursday.
