Nokia trials new N-Gage with Elisa

Tools

Handset giant Nokia continued towards the relaunch of its ill-fated N-Gage mobile gaming service, announcing it will partner with Finnish operator Elisa to mount a pilot beginning this month and continuing through mid-year. "Our goal is to give our customers a new and unique experience they cannot get anywhere else," Elisa's content services department head Mikko Mattinen said in a prepared statement. "People who enjoy mobile games are often the same customers who enjoy experimenting with new mobile services and content." According to Nokia, it is prepping the revised N-Gage platform for commercial availability later in 2007.

I am very happy to hear Nokia is continuing to develop the Ngage. I am not a gamer...but I love my Ngaga. I have had Cingular, Verzion and Spring people make fun of my device of choice...but I don't care!

I love my side talking, fits into the naturel curl of my finger's, alarm clock, AM/FM radio, MP3 player; flash card for easy loading/unloading of data, device.

Nokia - Thank you!

I'll hold out for the next gereration - Please make it UMTS - RV10 or h.246 video code supported.
