O2 Ireland confirms iPhone deal
O2 Ireland confirmed an agreement with Apple to begin selling the computing giant's iPhone device to Irish consumers March 14. As Apple's exclusive Irish mobile operator partner, O2 Ireland will split iPhone sales duties with retail chain Carphone Warehouse, making available the 8GB handset for €399 ($600 U.S.) and the 16GB handset for €499 ($750 U.S.). "The iPhone is changing the way people use their mobiles forever, and we're thrilled to offer it to O2 customers in Ireland," said O2 Ireland CEO Danuta Gray in a prepared statement.
