Obopay launches Mobile Money for Banks

Mobile payment solutions provider Obopay announced the launch of Mobile Money for Banks, a new white-label service enabling financial institutions to deploy their own branded mobile money initiatives. According to Obopay, Mobile Money for Banks enables banks to replace many traditional cash and check transactions--users can instead send and transfer funds via mobile device, and even accept payment cards. The solution includes tools to deploy branded smartphone applications for platforms including iPhone and BlackBerry, as well as mobile web, SMS and IVR services. Obopay adds that Mobile Money for Banks leverages established connections and payment processes across existing payment networks, complete with secure distribution via mobile operator networks.
