The Orchard grows on 3

Independent digital music distributor The Orchard announced an agreement with British operator 3 to license music, video, and mastertone content for delivery across the carrier's 3G network. The deal will enable 3 subscribers access to multi-platinum acts, up-and-coming bands and regional music. "3 knows that independent music is a crucial part of providing customers with music discovery and catalog depth," said Greg Scholl, The Orchard president and CEO.  "As the only independent music distributor 3 has licensed directly, we appreciate 3's commitment to work with us and bring important non-mainstream music to U.K. customers."
