Pandora signs Best Buy, Beck's for iPhone ads

Personalized digital radio service Pandora Media announced agreements with electronics retailer Best Buy and beer maker Beck's for its fledgling iPhone advertising platform. Best Buy and Beck's will consecutively enjoy exclusive advertising rights across Pandora's iPhone service, which presently ranks among the three most popular applications available via Apple's App Store--according to Pandora, more than 1.1 million iPhone users have downloaded the app since it went live July 11. Pandora adds that its iPhone users are predominantly male, with an average age of 36, which skews older and with a higher average household income than most iPhone subscribers.
