Peermeta scores $6 million in Series A
Mobile content platform developer Peermeta announced the close of a $6 million Series A financing round led by Sigma Partners and Kepha Partners. According to Peermeta, the funding will fuel the company's growth beyond the seed stage as well as enable the launch of its platform, which focuses on the intersection of digitized content, Web 2.0 services, social networking and mobile technologies across web-enabled mobile devices. Peermeta is led by serial entrepreneur Cheng Wu, who founded firms including Arris Networks, ArrowPoint and Acopia Networks in addition to serving as GM of Cisco's Content and Multiservice Edge businesses.
