Pops raises $1.5M for Android notifications

Mobile alerts provider Pops has raised $1.5 million in financing from Mangrove Capital Partners, an early investor in startups including Skype, Rdio and Nimbuzz. The Pops platform leverages animations and videos to alert Android device users when they receive new email, text messages or Facebook and Twitter updates.
