Qualcomm acquires Xiam for $32 million

Tools

Wireless technology developer Qualcomm announced it will acquire mobile content targeting and personalization solutions provider Xiam Technologies for $32 million. Xiam's My Personal Offers System promises to accelerate discovery and individualize the user experience by presenting relevant content offers and advertisements, enabling operators and brands to make personalized recommendations based on demographic, contextual and behavioral consumer profiles. Qualcomm said Xiam will continue as a wholly-owned subsidiary, and while the MPOS solution will remain a standalone product, Qualcomm will also offer the technology as part of its core wireless data solution.
