Quattro Wireless scores $5.75M in Series A

Mobile advertising startup Quattro Wireless emerged from stealth mode to announce the recent completion of a Series A funding round totaling $5.75 million. Highland Capital Partners led the round. Quattro, which has launched mobile web initiatives for brands including Spanish-language media giant Univision, publisher Playboy Enterprises and CoverGirl Cosmetics, is readying the release of Getmobile.com, a platform that promises to translate websites to mobile without compromising their existing visual sensibilities or stripping away content. "We want build an experience that will be a good one for subscribers,'' Quattro CEO Andrew Miller told Red Herring. "We also want to painlessly bring publishers over to the mobile side.''
