Report: 65% of m-gaming revs from females
According to a recent report from Telephia, 65 percent of mobile gaming revenues are from female users. Female users make up 72 percent of the total revenue generated from puzzle/strategy games, which is the most popular category of mobile games. The only category that men drive more revenue in is Action/Adventure, where men drive 60 percent of the revenue. The report also has a rundown of the most popular mobile games by revenue for Q1. EA has the top four spots with its puzzle games: Tetris, Tetris Deluxe, Bejeweled and JAMDAT Mahjong. Namco's classic arcade game Ms. Pac-Man took the fifth spot.
