Report: LBS apps on phones impacting solo devices

Research and Markets has a report stating the obvious: mapping and navigation apps gaining traction on mobile handsets are starting to have an impact on standalone navigation devices.

The report says with operators offering navigation and location applications to consumers for $10 per month there is little incentive for them to purchase the standalone devices.
