Roeding exits CBS Mobile
CBS Mobile announced that executive vice president Cyriac Roeding, who launched the division in May 2005, will resign his post; Jeff Sellinger, who joined CBS Mobile in November 2005 and most recently served as senior vice president, was named his replacement. As SVP, Sellinger was responsible for operations including launching and running the 24-hour CBS Mobile television network, mobile video services, in-show interactivity, content, mobile web and mobile advertising. Prior to joining the Tiffany Network, Sellinger co-founded mobile interactivity and marketing solutions provider GoldPocket Wireless.
According to CBS, Roeding will exit to pursue "various entrepreneurial endeavors," with CBS Interactive president Quincy Smith adding in a statement "Cyriac has built what is arguably the most innovative and aggressive mobile division in all of media and he should be credited with not only putting CBS Mobile on the map and creating a profitable, fast-growing organization, but also for being a change agent in the industry."
