ROK bows free TV service

Mirroring a similar move by its U.K. division, ROK Entertainment Group U.S. has introduced a free mobile TV service for the U.S. market. FreeBe TV, as it is called, offers 13 channels of live news, music and sorts. The direct-to-consumer offering is available via a WAP delivery system, accessible by 21 phone models today. According to ROK, the service does not require a 3G network to access, which raises some quality questions.
