SendMe grabs $12 million in Series D

Tools

Mobile media firm SendMe announced the completion of a $12 million Series D growth capital financing round led by new investor Triangle Peak Partners, with full participation by existing investors True Ventures, Amicus Capital, Spark Capital, and GrandBanks Capital. According to SendMe, the venture round follows on the heels of 2008 growth that saw the company's content catalog increase fivefold across its SendMeMobile.com, SoLow.com and mbuzzy.com properties thanks to new partnerships with providers including Universal Music Group, Warner Music, EMI and Sony Pictures. SendMe adds that a portion of the new funding will be earmarked for general working capital. The company will also seek to augment its organic growth via targeted buyside acquisitions.
