Shazam surpasses 1.5M iPhone downloads

Mobile music discovery service provider Shazam Entertainment announced its iPhone application has been downloaded by more than 1.5 million users in the first six weeks since its debut on Apple's App Store. The free Shazam app enables allows iPhone users to identify music from any audio source, screen related videos on YouTube and purchase identified tracks through iTunes. Users may also tag identified tracks with photos and share memories with friends. According to Shazam, users have identified 20 million tracks in the last two months.
