ShoZu adds Facebook to upload options
User-generated content solutions developer ShoZu announced the addition of popular social utility website Facebook to its list of mobile video and photo upload destination options. Facebook members with ShoZu-enabled handsets may now transfer images and related text to their online profiles. In addition, ShoZu launched "Photo Status," a new Facebook application that automatically posts photos sent to a user's Flickr account via ShoZu to their corresponding Facebook profile. In all, more than two dozen Web destination options are now available via ShoZu's one-click Share-It image uploading service. The free ShoZu client can be downloaded to more than 200 handset models.
Facebook currently boasts more than 24 million active users and ranks among the global Internet's top 20 most-visited online destinations. "Facebook recently acknowledged the growing importance of mobile uploads to their site by building mobile support into their new video application," said Mark Bole, ShoZu CEO. "They are also the biggest photo-sharing site on the Web, with more than 6 million photos uploaded every day. By offering Facebook as a destination option for our one-click image upload service, we are ensuring that Facebook members have a fast, easy and low-cost method of updating their Facebook photos and videos wherever they are--whether at a concert, a party, backpacking in Europe or simply going about their daily lives."
