Skyfire Labs scores $13 million in Series B

Mobile browser developer Skyfire Labs announced completion of a $13 million Series B funding round led by Lightspeed Venture Partners and including existing investors Matrix Partners and Trinity Ventures. According to Skyfire, the funding is earmarked to expand the rollout of its flagship browser, a free download currently in private beta--the firm promises a complete PC browsing experience on mobile devices, with patent-pending technology enabling more efficient website rendering while reducing processing power and memory.
