SlingMedia, Symbian team for mobile TV

Mobile phone operating system provider Symbian is working with place-shifting media firm Sling Media to develop a new mobile TV service for smartphones. Under the deal, Sling Media will make available a version of the SlingPlayer Mobile software for the Symbian OS platform. SlingPlayer allows users to stream TV from their home TV to their mobile phone, including recorded shows, and also control live content and schedule recordings.
