Sony, FX team for 'Rescue Me' minisode series

Sony Pictures Television and cable network FX announced the debut of an original, multiplatform minisode series spotlighting the Denis Leary comedy-drama Rescue Me. Each five-minute segment of the 10-episode series, premiering on FX June 24, will initially appear in primetime before joining Sony's The Minisode Network lineup online and on mobile the following day. Sony and FX first teamed to produce original Rescue Me digital content in 2006, promoting the series' third season with Rescue Me 2.5, a 15-minute episode that debuted online before later resurfacing on DVD.
