Spotify expands to Symbian devices

Tools

Digital music application Spotify will expand to the Symbian platform in a new downloadable mobile version powered by software developer The Astonishing Tribe's TAT Cascades solution. According to TAT, Cascades enables application porting to virtually any mobile operating system, complete with a branded user interface--more than 250 million subscribers with devices running on Symbian version 9.2 can now download the Spotify mobile app, which enables on-demand streaming of audio content while monetizing licensed content via both ad-supported, free services and a complementary premium offering.
