SPOTLIGHT: dotMobi debate heats up
Honestly, is a special domain name really necessary for mobile Internet? Nowhere else on the internet do we have a suffix to denote the device accessing the site, so why start here? I don't use .pc .mac .unixworkstation .laptop so why use .mobi?? The technology on any half decent site detects the device and delivers the right content. To quote another commentator on the subject "Its a bollocky waste of time!"
Lock them up and throw away the key - its just a scam to get us to pay for useless domains.
