SPOTLIGHT: Mobile social networking

Yahoo's Mitch Lazar, VP of biz dev for the Connected Life social networking initiative, says… well, actually very little in this Q&A about the potential for mobile blog communities. Clearly Yahoo is working on something, and Lazar is trying to walk that tightrope of saying something without giving anything away. The takeaway quote: "By opening the door of on-line communities to mobile device interaction we give access to a whole new universe of contributors and users." Deep stuff. I don't think anybody has a clue yet of how to best marry social networks with mobile phones, and all the hemming and hawing being done skirting about the issue illustrates that. Article
