Sprint adds MySpace, YouTube uploads to Picture Mail
Sprint and infrastructure services provider VeriSign's Messaging and Mobile Media unit announced enhancements to the operator's Sprint Picture Mail service enabling subscribers to send photos and videos straight from their handsets to social media sites including MySpace, Photobucket and YouTube. According to Sprint, users may now directly upload and publish content to their online social media accounts via VeriSign's Xoomerang platform--in addition to web giants MySpace, Photobucket and YouTube, Sprint and VeriSign said they will add other destinations to the Picture Mail service in the coming months. The Picture Mail enhancements are now available on more than 30 Sprint phones, including the Samsung Instinct, LG Rumor and Motorola Motorazr2--unlimited use of the service is included at no additional cost for all Sprint Picture Mail subscribers.
