Sprint to air 2009 NFL Draft live on mobile
With the 0-16 Detroit Lions on the clock since roughly mid-September, the National Football League will finally commence its annual rookie draft on Apr. 25. For the fourth consecutive year, Sprint will simulcast the NFL Network's live broadcast to mobile subscribers via its NFL Mobile Live application. In addition to the live draft coverage, NFL Mobile Live will offer content including a draft tracker (complete with live countdown clock), text alerts to notify fans when their favorite team makes its pick and where their favorite college players are headed, blogs from former University of Georgia quarterback Matthew Stafford and former University of Southern California signal-caller Mark Sanchez, exclusive commentary from NFL analyst Adam Schefter and related news, opinion and insight, including mock drafts. Other features: Player bios and NFL Network-produced video content. NFL Mobile Live is available on most Sprint handsets.
