Sprint appoints Dan Hesse president and CEO

Sprint Nextel has named Dan Hesse president and CEO, filling the void created by Gary Forsee's October resignation. Hesse previously served as chairman, president and CEO of service provider Embarq Corporation, which he helmed since its 2006 inception. He also spent 23 years at AT&T, serving as president and CEO of AT&T Wireless Services from 1997 to 2000. "Dan's record of achievement is impressive," said Sprint's non-executive chairman James Hance in a prepared statement. "He possesses marketing and innovation savvy along with considerable operating acumen. Under his leadership, AT&T Wireless became the nation's largest carrier at the time and grew revenues three times faster than the rate of the industry. The company earned awards for service and innovation, along with recognition for overall performance. At Embarq he has done an excellent job of leading the company through its inception, building its brand and delivering solid financial and operating results."

I am so sick of your lousey service. I wrote telling you my service sucks a few months ago. And you guys told me i live in a dead zone. So i see this new commerical Dan@Sprint. And i get a message back saying to buy a more expensive plan and a more expensive phone and it well help. But you told me i was in a dead zone???????????????
Give me a break. I'm disabled. I need a phone. I really wish i break off this contract but i have to wait untill it's over because i can't affored the fee. AND I'M DISABLED AND NEED A PHONE BECAUSE I CANT GET SERVICE WHEN I'M IN BED. I'M HAVEN A MAJOR SURGERY NEXT WEEK. AND NEED A PHONE. THAT WORKS BUT DO YOU CARE. NO, DAN WONT EVEN WRITE ME BACK. So i call and get someone who cant even speak english. Dan u have alot of work ahead of you.

Afternoon,
My name is Gina Gambardella and I'm not sure who to contact or how to handle the issue I am having. I opened an account with nextel many years ago and I allowed my brother to use the phone. He had no access to the account it was in my name he was just using the phone. Throughout the past 3 years my brother took a bad turn and became a drug addict. He would contact customer service and upgrade my policy and my phone. When I realized this was happening I put a password on the account. This didn't stop the problem and my contract continued to get extended. I can't afford to pay the 475.00 balance on the account and the 200.00 dollar termination fee. I have called on the phone many times, I have gone to the Branford location and spoke with managers and staff regarding this issue. After 3 years of this going on I finally got a supervisor in customer service to wave the termination fee but, she said I would have to pay off the balance. I told her I couldn't pay the bill in full but, that I would make payments. She said that was fine I would need to go to the Branford location show my id and they would have the phone shut off. I got to Branford and the cs rep told me they were not able to confirm my id it would have to be done through a corporate store. I called cs spoke with another rep got transferred and hung up on. Called back again got another rep who shut the phone off then gave me the run around as far as a payment plan. Eddie Emielita a technician in the Branford location said he would contact upper management and told me to file a police report. I called him today around 3:30 to see what information he had gotten and I was advised to wait on going to the police until he heard back from someone. When Eddie got back to me I was told to call the fraud dept and speak with them. I called and got a rep named Tamica. I explained what happen and got the same response from her that I got from every other cs rep. She was rude and nasty and when I asked to speak with a manager she hung up in my face. I have had enough of getting the run around I have contacted my attorney and have proof of a rep named Sharon R who spoke with my husband yesterday and made changes on my account without my authority. There are notes upon notes on file that no one is to access my account other then me. I have contacted the bbb and will do what ever I have to do to expose nextel/sprint for the horrible customer service I have received. Not one person from your company has taken responsibility for the nasty horrible cs you are selling. Gina Gambardella
