Sprint eyeing WiMAX?

Sprint reportedly is considering building out a WiMAX network to complement its 3G EV-DO network. Such a move would certainly be an expensive gamble, but one designed to bring cheaper high-bandwidth content services to mobile phones, such as video. The entertainment and content industry is very interested in alternative (read: cheaper) means of delivering content to wireless devices, such as WiFi and WiMAX, and would likely welcome such a move.
