Sprint, MTV announce Logo on the go
MTV Networks wrapped the week as it began it--making headlines in mobile. The company announced it will partner with Sprint Nextel to launch a mobile programming slate based on its gay and lesbian-targeted cable channel Logo. Available to Sprint Vision and Power Vision subscribers, Logo's mobile programming will include news, short films, music videos, the standup comedy showcase "Wisecrack" and the travel series "TripOut."
"Wireless video is a powerful platform for connecting our audience with artists and stories that speak to them authentically," MTV Networks Music Group president of entertainment and Logo president Brian Graden said in a prepared statement.
Logo launched in June 2005. According to a recent Fortune profile, the network will soon reach nearly 25 million homes, backed by more than 80 advertisers including American Express, Intel and Lexus.
