Sprint rushes ahead with NFL draft coverage
Sprint announced it will simulcast the NFL Network's live coverage of the 2007 National Football League draft on April 28 and 29. The carrier will also deliver exclusive pre-draft made-for-mobile content including news, video, mock drafts and expert analysis. All video segments will be produced by NFL Network and will be available on Sprint's NFL Mobile application (available free to Vision and Power Vision data subscribers) as well as on Sprint TV.
"NFL fans no longer have to sit in front of a TV or computer to follow the draft," said Sprint's director of sports marketing Steve Gaffney in a prepared statement. "We have found that today's sports fan wants to be connected to the NFL round the clock, and Sprint's NFL sponsorship and powerful network give us the ability to deliver the latest news and information as it happens. Sprint has become a vital resource for NFL fans who cannot always be in front of the TV or computer."
