Study: Mobile TV ready to go in China
According to a recent report form In-Stat, mobile TV services are set to take off in China where subscribers to such services should grow to 94 million by 2009. Unclear regulations are the remaining barrier to market in the country, In-Stat said. Other conclusions include: The government is pushing for mobile TV availability ready for the 2008 Beijing Olympics; DVB-H is the likely market leader with niche markets for SDMB, TDMB and MediaFLO; and short digestible video clips will be the most successful.
