Sybase 365, Integra5 team on multi-platform messaging

Multi-platform real-time communications and social media experiences provider Integra5 announced an agreement with mobile messaging services provider Sybase 365 to integrate on Integra5's new MediaFriends applications suite into SMS-centric mobile services. Deployed in the mobile operator's network, the Integra5 platform routes text messages between the Sybase 365 mobile messaging platform and users' mobile handsets, TVs, PCs and DECT phones. The firms say the partnership also benefits video providers and programmers, enabling the introduction of new TV-based services that incorporate SMS: The MediaFriends TV Chat service enables viewers to use their remote control units to invite friends to watch TV programming together and engage in chats via text messages, viewing the conversation directly on the television.
