AT&T debuts Olympics-themed mobile music
AT&T announced a series of pop music acts including Sheryl Crow, 3 Doors Down, Colbie Caillat and Nelly will record exclusive tracks for the operator's AT&T Team USA Soundtrack in honor of the upcoming 2008 Summer Olympics. The AT&T Team USA Soundtrack, which will debut during NBC and Telemundo's Olympics coverage, promises motivational music for U.S. athletes and fans--AT&T's MEdia Net portal will offer the songs (and related ringtones and ringbacks) for download only during the Olympics, which take place in Beijing from Aug. 8 to 24, with all proceeds benefiting Team USA. AT&T--the official telecommunications services partner of the U.S. Olympic Team--said additional participating artists will be announced.
