AT&T introduces My MEdia Net
AT&T announced My MEdia Net, a new PC-based browser service enabling subscribers to create and update personalized mobile web experiences via PC. An extension of AT&T's MEdia Net mobile Web service, My MEdia Net allows users to drag and drop Internet content like news, weather, sports and entertainment to their MEdia Net home page--all selections are synchronized over the air and then confirmed with a text message that launches the new MEdia Net home page. The service promises efficient content exploration as well as easy sign-on and parental controls.
"AT&T's wireless customers now have two ways--two screens--to personalize their mobile Web experience," said AT&T vice president of consumer data Mark Collins. "With the new Web-based tool, customers can now customize directly on their handsets through AT&T's MEdia Net portal or through a PC. This easy personalization process will help increase the use of wireless data services as consumers become increasingly more dependent on wireless technology for information while they're on the go."
