AT&T and device manufacturer LG Electronics announced the trax by LG, a new handset spotlighting the operator's music platform and related multimedia services. The trax by LG features the AT&T Mobile Music service, which includes access to subscription music services like Napster and eMusic as well as the Music ID song-recognition software, music videos and The Buzz music news portal. The trax is also MobiTV and XM Radio Mobile-capable, and enables consumers to access AT&T's Cellular Video service, which features content from CNN, The Weather Channel, iFilm, Comedy Central and HBO. In addition, the trax supports AT&T's Video Share service that enables users to share live video while making voice calls.

The trax by LG is available beginning Aug. 14 for $129.99. "The trax by LG offers AT&T customers an extremely functional music phone with a cutting-edge design," said Ehtisham Rabbani, LG Electronics MobileComm VP of product strategy and marketing. "Features such as CV and the ability to sync music from Napster, eMusic and Yahoo! Music make trax an excellent phone for the convergence of communication and entertainment."
