AT&T opens Online Experience Store
AT&T announced the Online Experience Store, a digital storefront promising subscribers a 3-D shopping model complete with interactive demonstrations and tutorials spotlighting the operator's mobile phone and device portfolio alongside its accompanying music, video, web, messaging and productivity services. According to AT&T, the Online Experience Store features a three-dimensional virtual layout of a brick-and-mortar retail location, complete with a simulated Microsoft Surface unit, enabling shoppers to "touch" devices and services--consumers may also screen guided video tours or independently explore different stations within the store. The Online Experience Store will emphasize AT&T multimedia efforts including MEdia Net, MobiRadio, MusicID, Napster, eMusic and AT&T Video Share--in each area of the store, shoppers may choose to launch a demo, view devices related to a given service or application, or purchase a device and corresponding service package.
