T-Pain partners with Zed for ringtone distribution

Mobile entertainment firm Zed announced a distribution deal with Nappy Boy Digital, the virtual record label launched in June by rapper and producer T-Pain. Per terms of the deal, Zed will serve as Nappy Boy's exclusive mobile content distribution partner, making ringtones available via mobile carrier storefronts and D2C efforts. T-Pain himself boasts ringtone sales in excess of 15 million, with both "I'm N Luv (Wit a Stripper)" and "Buy You a Drank (Shawty Snappin')" earning triple platinum acknowledgment from Sony BMG in 2007. Other Nappy Boy Digital acts include Tay Dizm, Jay Lyriq, Sophia Fresh, and Young Ca$h.
